Herb baths are easy to prepare and are also an excellent way to practice aromatherapy, using scents to transform your mental state. The following is a list of popular herbs and their effects - experiment with different ones in combination. They can be added directly to teh bath or places in a mesh bag. Simply place 1 cup of dried herbs or 2 cups of fresh into an old nylon stocking and knot the end, then tie this bag under the water faucet while you draw your bath.

Basil: Stimulates the memory, relieves stress and cures depression.

Bergamot: Cures depression

Chamomile: Relaxes and calms the nerves.

Lavender: Relaxes and calms the nerves; good for babies.

Marjoram: Relieves stress and relaxes.

Mint: Uplifts the spirit and energizes.

Rosemary: Stimulates the memory.

Sage: Invigorates the body.
